Introductory Communications User Training (ICUT)
All CAP members have opportunities to operate a CAP radio. This requires that all members be trained in the basics of CAP radio communications. This is accomplished through a three-part online course entitled “Introductory Communications User Training” (ICUT).
Log into eServices at http://capnhq.gov/
In the left-side menu, select: Online Learning
In the pop-up menu, select: Absorb LMS
If you have not enrolled in a desired course yet, click on "Catalog" on the three-line menu at the top of the screen.
You can also use the Search feature.
Search for: Introductory Communications User Training
Select: Enroll
The course will now appear in your Main Portal.
Review the associated material.
Complete the following: OP1, T1 Lessons, OP2, and the Online Course Survey.
After completion of the online course, contact the Communications Officer to request a session to complete your practical (hands-on) ICUT training, to demonstrate various radio operator skills, and achieve sign-off. Plan for about 15 minutes for this.
Wait for final (human validation) approval of ICUT.
ICUT will then will appear in your completed Training list and on your 101 card. If you have completed the above requirements and have waited more than a week for approval, please contact the Squadron Commander or Communications Officer.
